CMR Summary – philosophy & resources

CMR was set up to provide the resources and network that are essential for achieving success as an independent consultant. The aim was to provide small to medium-sized businesses with the support and resources needed, whilst allowing our executive members to use their skills and experience to build their own financial independence and a successful career both as part of CMR and privately.

CMR was deliberately set up to provide the tools needed at minimal cost, with any financial upside coming from a small percentage share of the resulting business created.

So, to look at what CMR aims to provide to support its members - first of all in summary, and then in more detail:

Summary:

CMR provides:

1) A comprehensive range of products and services to satisfy the needs of the majority of potential clients.  This allows each member to handle business on a much wider basis than if they were just a standalone consultant.

2) The marketing channels and support to enable CMR executive members to handle as many client appointments and projects as they could want. 

3) The network of skills & resources that allows every CMR executive member to handle every client, even if they do not personally have all the skills needed.

4) The training and mentoring to enable all members to rapidly acquire the skills needed to handle clients and their projects.  For new CMR members there is much support available from their Regional Director and from other CMR colleagues.  Nobody in CMR is 'alone'.

5) The admin support, including PI cover required by major accounts, enabling members to concentrate on developing business.
