JOINING CMR ...virtually

CMR is primarily a virtual company although with physical offices in London, Glasgow, Dublin and Guernsey.  CMR Members usually work from their home, office or client's premises, and we do as much as we can electronically. In addition, CMR Regions hold regular physical meetings to which all CMR Full Members are invited - these meetings are to manage our business, client base and development action.  We also have regular nationwide physical meetings in the form of conferences, golf days, social events, etc.

In the past introductory meetings for aspiring new members have been held in various parts of the country. This has entailed asking people (including ourselves) to travel sometimes quite long distances to attend, costing time and money, also resulting in delays before people can join.  New members joining after attending an introductory meeting were asked to pay the full joining cost (£1495 + VAT) upon joining.

To improve the joining arrangements we have introduced a 'Virtual Joining Procedure' which will allow most new members to join us in an easier way and without the inconvenience of spending time and travelling.

We recognise the need for aspiring new members to build confidence that joining CMR is likely to be beneficial for them, and so we have split the normal joining fee for those joining us through this 'virtual route' so that about half is deferred until that member starts to earn fee income through CMR.  The half that is payable upon joining is to cover the costs of inception, including the training and personal mentoring provided.

'Virtual' Joining:

1) For those new members who are happy to join virtually, the initial joining cost will be reduced from the normal £1,495 + VAT to just £745 + VAT to cover training and mentoring costs. The balance of £750 + VAT will be payable from the first fees earned by the member from clients.  This demonstrates in a very practical way our confidence that you will find CMR membership to be highly beneficial for you.  The normal monthly membership subscription of £65 + VAT will also be payable.  We recommend that all members register for VAT to recover these and other VAT expenditures they may incur.

2) The Virtual Joining Process -

a) Please fully read the CMR Website and FAQ's.

b) If you have any questions not covered, please send us an email.  We will respond and if the question could be of interest to others, we will update the FAQ's .

c) When you decide you would seriously like to join us, please email accordingly (stating that you would like to go the virtual joining route) and attach your CV - to cmr@cmruk.com.  If you would prefer to join only after attending a physical introductory meeting, these will be held subject to demand - please ask us to let you know when/where they will be held.

d) Your CV will be reviewed at CMR Centre and if your experience and seniority are suitable for CMR Full Membership, you will then be contacted by a CMR Director for a phone conversation to discuss your own background and the possibilities for joining CMR.  If both sides agree, you will be invited to join CMR.  If your seniority is not quite up to that required for Full Membership, you will be offered RMC Associate or Affiliate Membership - there are upgrade paths from there to Full Membership.

e) If you indicate during the phone conversation that you would like to continue the virtual joining process, an email will be sent to you confirming the invitation to join together with a restatement of the fee arrangements, etc.  Also attached will be an invoice for the partial joining fee, a standing order for the monthly subs (£65 + VAT) and an ethical/ confidentiality agreement to abide by CMR's rules.

f) Please complete these forms and post back with your cheque to 31 Harley Street, London W1G 9QS (or you can pay by credit card online at http://www.cmrworld.com/adhocpay.asp ).  Upon receipt you will be contacted (by phone and email) to welcome you onboard.  You will be given the CMR Intranet passwords, the CMR Operations Manual plus brochures, letterheadings, etc.  You will also be able to order CMR business cards.  All of these will enable you to become operational without delay and you will be a full member of the CMR network.

g) You will also be contacted by your Regional Director (you can choose which CMR Region to join and can change at any time).  He will welcome you to the Region and bring you up-to-date on all that's happening and of course invite you to the next regional meetings (you will be part of our regional planning and management group).  They will also discuss with you the special training and mentoring arrangements included in the joining cost.

You will find no lack of opportunities to successfully establish your financial independence with CMR (and privately too if you wish).  CMR members generally experience a much improved quality of life - you control how you spend your time, what you do and your future.

We look forward to welcoming you on board!
